Prominent U.S. multinational law firm, noted as a "Best Employer" is seeking an experienced individual to fill a respected Litigation Case Manager position in our New York office. The firm is noted internationally as being devoted to the resolution of complex commercial disputes. The firm serves clients in significant, disputed matters that involve substantial dollar or business exposures, cutting-edge legal issues or significant policy questions. The partners, consultants, and associates of the firm have been trained at the finest law schools and business schools in the country.




  • Assist with the preparation and court filing of pleadings and other court papers, as needed.

  • Assist with preparation for interviews, depositions, hearings, trials and/or client meetings

  • Proofread briefs, memoranda of law, opinions and other documents

  • Perform cross-reference and defined terms checks, as needed

  • Pull cases, shepardize briefs and assist with and coordinate cite-checking

  • Able to perform non-legal research using various research tools, Westlaw, LexisNexis, PACER, SEC/EDGAR and other systems

  • Update attorney and case/deal team binders

  • Able to assist partners, associates and other legal assistants across practice areas and different departments

  • Manage collection, review and production of client data; act as liaison with attorneys, consultants and opposing counsel

  • Ensure case files are complete and docketing deadlines are maintained at all times

  • Perform all functions required to handle in-house productions via cloud based document review Software.

  • Assist attorneys with gathering facts, constructing case timelines, preparing witness interview and deposition materials, and drafting privilege logs

  • Prepare and coordinate transmittal of case materials to experts

  • Assist with filings, preparation for oral arguments and hearings, and motion practice

  • Prepare and assist at trial; manage trial exhibits and trial software

  • Manage budget and provide cost analysis of file maintenance, document review and production of deposition and trial materials




  • 3 years experience as a litigation paralegal or related case management experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Proficiency in NetDocuments, Relativity, Concordance, or similar litigation records management, document review, or trial presentations software

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

  • Excellent written communication skills

  • Superior planning, organizational, interpersonal and oral communication including providing group presentations

  • Ability to work on the development of a project with clearly defined deadlines and tasks

  • Frequent (paid) overtime and some travel required

SUMMARY: The Litigation Paralegal will work in an upbeat and positive team environment assisting litigation attorneys in all phases of the litigation lifecycle, ranging from pre-complaint investigation through trial and appeal. Key Responsibilities


  • Create and oversee exhibits for trial

  • Utilize Relativity, DISCO, Concordance, etc.

  • Actively participate in document collection and production, deposition preparation, hearings and trials

  • Set up war rooms and attend trial as needed

  • Organize and maintain case files using a variety of automated procedures

  • Employ databases for searches and document retrieval

  • Conduct cite checks and case pulls using LexisNexis and/or Westlaw databases

  • Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery in preparation for and participation in trial

  • Review and analyze large volumes of data to be produced in litigation

  • Review documents for privilege and draft privilege logs for attorney review

  • Provide ongoing communication between an international network of counsel and clients to assist and expedite case settlements for the maximization of collections

  • Finalize, file and service briefs, motions and other filings

  • Prepare for trials in State and Federal Court; manage trial support

  • Assemble materials and files necessary for conferences, depositions or court

  • Meet the Firm’s standards of excellence in supporting attorney teams

  • Play an active role in helping the Firm to provide legal services of the highest caliber to the clients

  • Organize and maintain case files using a variety of automated procedures

Skills and Experience Required


  • 2 years of litigation paralegal experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree 

  • Well skilled with legal research, cite-checking, bluebooking and shepardizing

  • Thorough knowledge of the discovery process, including preparation of privilege logs

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a talent for developing a rapport with clients, attorneys and co-workers. This is a great environment to work in with an upbeat, positive and social culture that everyone enjoys.

  • Proficiency with e-filing, e-discovery, including Relativity, Summation, Concordance, Documatirx, Live Note, LexisNexis, Westlaw, Microsoft Office, PC Law, Worldox, etc.
