Summary
New York State Capital District law firm seeks a Junior Associate or Associate to join a fast-paced law practice noted for high-profile criminal matters. This attorney should have a sincere interest and experience in criminal defense or prosecution-related matters. This position reports to The Managing Partner, who is a noted mentor. A minimum of 1-3 years of related experience is required to work on various high-profile civil, criminal and related corporate matters. Your autonomy will be determined by your experience, when joining the firm.
Compensation
Six-figure base, with Firm comprehensive health/welfare programs and benefits. Discretionary year-end bonus, based on performance. Sheltered private parking and access in one of the Capital District's most desired locations.

Ability to work on diverse high-profile criminal cases, in a confidential manner.

Understand the sensitivities of all parties concerned including interaction with the press/media outlets.

Exposure to election fraud and or related criminal matters is highly desired​. However, exposure to criminal defense of any type will be considered.

Qualifications

Acceptance to The New York State Bar or in the process of receiving acceptance

A minimum of 1 to 3 years of related experience, ideally in criminal law/defense or prosecution with a law firm, public defender, or DA’s office

A junior must have a solid understanding of briefs and motion work, to get up and running

Ability to work on high-profile cases with discretion at all times

Good interpersonal skills to interact with a broad spectrum of people and organizations. Judges, Clients, Prosecutors, Law Clerks, Paralegals, Corporate In-House Counsel and others.
