Executive Office of The Managing Partner
Location: New York, NY - Executive Offices
Compensation: Base salary to $150,000, plus bonus; Medical, Dental, Wellness and Vision Benefits; Life Insurance; 401K plus match; PTO off and sick days; FSA; Transit program; All Firm and Executive Floor Amenities.
Summary: The primary responsibilities of the Chief of Staff are to provide high-quality support to the Managing Partner as a senior advisor and oversee special projects and initiatives involving the Office of The Managing Partner. This individual will function as the representative of The Managing Partner's Office for internal and external matters. A strong sense of decorum and professionalism are required. Prior experience working for a senior most legal executive is required.

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide executive level legal support to the Managing Partner

Function with autonomy and work on special projects based on the Managing Partner’s priorities and additional inter-departmental projects as requested.

Consistently perform in a timely and confidential manner to follow up on matters that require discretion.

Establish ongoing positive relationships on behalf of the Managing Partner

Communicate effectively on busy, multiple telephone lines

Help identify and coordinate The Managing Partner’s day to day agenda and identify metrics to measure progress and success of his time.

Draft and proofread correspondence, legal and non-legal documents; perform blacklining and redlining; create table of contents and table of authorities

Leverage Managing Partner’s time, attend meetings and calls on the behalf of the Managing Partner; serve as an ex officio member of the World Leading Team; attend Administrative Leadership - Operations meetings; serve as ex officio member of other Committees as assigned

Compose routine letters, memoranda and prepare reports

Assist in the preparation of time-keeping, travel, expense reports and other personnel records;

Oversee the production of communications prepared on behalf of the Managing Partner

Works closely with the Executive Committee and key stakeholders
Skills & Experience Required

Bachelor’s Degree required
-
5+ years of executive level support in a law firm

Ability to work overtime

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Ability to remain calm and function under pressure in a constantly changing environment

Ability to communicate effectively, diplomatically and with social decorum

Excellent attendance, punctual and flexible
-
Detail oriented with strong day-to-day organizational skills

Ability to be proactive, organize/prioritize work and perform multiple tasks simultaneously
