Business Development / Marketing Coordinator

Corporate Law - Global Law Firm 


ORGANIZATION: International Law Firm  

LOCATION: Midtown, Manhattan 

HOURS: Monday – Friday, 9:30 - 5:30

  • Refine and curate core materials related to specific industries, practice descriptions and representative experience

  • Assist with basic market, industry and client research and data collection to assist with pitch preparation and various projects.

  • Assist with the maintenance of the corporate experience database, including data entry and record updates.

  • Assist with various corporate marketing and business development initiatives, (e.g., client receptions, panel presentations, CLE presentations, webinars, conferences, etc.), as needed.

  • Update data in the Firm’s marketing contact relationship management (CRM) database

  • Summarize announced M&A/private equity transactions by the industry on a weekly basis

  • Gain a thorough knowledge of the internal system and external databases

  • Provide support to other members of the department as necessary

  • Create manuals and resource materials for the experience database, outlining best practices for researching and recording transactions as well as helping to develop definitions and taxonomies with an eye toward consistency of content

  • Provide research, coordination and other logistical assistance in connection with the origination and execution of new business pitches and related client development meetings and activities




  • 2+ years of BD or marketing experience in a law firm, finance or investment banking environment

  • Bachelor’s Degree 

  • Exceptional communication and listening skills, including an innate ability to communicate to the stakeholders on overall efforts, progress and results along with the comfort to interact with key Business Development and senior Firm personnel

  • Proven ability to organize and manage a diverse range of projects, prioritizing multiple tasks with competing deadlines (at times in high-pressure situations)

  • Very strong project management abilities to lead and control large, complex pitches, proposals and RFPs

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, particularly an expertise with Excel, PowerPoint and Word

  • Proficiency with various research databases including, but not limited to Lexis, Westlaw, Bloomberg, Westlaw MonitorSuite, Lex Machina
