Summary: Privacy Attorney will contribute to the firm's successful practice and be a key catalyst in the expansion of the practice group nationwide. Qualified attorneys with experience advising clients and/or litigating cybersecurity issues will be successful in this role and are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:

Interact with clients from various industries, such as technology, biotech, financial services, etc. and advise on privacy and security matters

Provide data privacy and security support during client’s mergers and acquisitions, investigations, corporate transactions, or similar matters

Provide assistance to clients with developing global privacy policies, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations including but not limited to CCPA, HIPAA, GLBA, etc.

Draft and negotiate various professional agreements such as technology licenses, service use agreements, and other documents related to data sharing

Prepare and revise documents including privacy policies/notices, terms of service, security policies, incident response and other types of data protection policies
Qualifications
-
2+ years of experience working as an attorney at a law firm
-
License to practice in New York or California
-
IAPP Certified a plus
-
Experience in privacy and cybersecurity laws at a federal and state level
