Summary: The Corporate Bank Teller is responsible for processing all petty cash fund establishment and reimbursements and maintaining logs. This is an active area for a person who enjoys working with nice people.  These services are exclusively available for employees. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately perform accounting duties

  • Prepare and manage travel advances for staff and executives

  • Exchange and acquire foreign currency for international business travel

  • Reimburse executives and staff for client and firm expenditures

  • Obtain money orders, Credit Card gift checks and travelers' checks for staff; ensure payment and applicable fees are charged accordingly

  • Accommodate and manage requests for personal advances

  • Respond to petty cash requests received via email, telephone or in-person

  • Monitor and reconcile petty cash debits and credits

  • Participates in efficiency planning and implementation

  • Assemble receipts and perform data entry of all petty cash transactions in the automated accounts payable system

  • Maintain petty cash log; update ledgers as needed

 

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

  • Competency to do mathematical computations; Proficient in MS Excel

  • 1+ year of related experience as a bank teller or corporate bank teller or similar responsibilities in a corporation or financial institution. 

  • Effective written and oral communication skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work with friendly and intelligent people.

  • Ability to work with initiative, and flexibility and meet deadlines for special projects

  • Ability to maintain high level of awareness to employee needs

  • A willingness to undertake further training as required to fulfill the changing needs of the firm and your own professional development
